W&RSETA INAUGURAL

RESEARCH

CONFERENCE

The W&RSETA has the pleasure of inviting its stakeholders in the implementation of skills
development programmes in the Wholesale and Retail Sector to the first-ever W&RSETA Research
Conference. Wholesale and retail companies, institutions of learning, constituent business and
labour organisations and other interested stakeholders including training providers are invited to
this conference.
In the main, the Research Conference will create a platform for key stakeholders in skills
development from education, training and academia to engage on solutions to the supply and
demand challenges in the Wholesale and Retail Sector and ways to improve the effectiveness of the
outcomes-based implementation of skills development interventions and initiatives. These
engagements will be guided by recommendations of research conducted as well as presentations
from local and international experts.

The conference will be held under the theme “Building wholesale and retail sector
competitiveness through digitisation for effective skills development”
