how to place ‘ganesha’ idol at the right place by following these vastu rules
Lord ‘Ganesha’ is special in many respects among prominent Hindu deities. He can get us material pros- perity and help us to achieve liberation, the real goal of ‘Yoga’.
According to the Indian Scripture ‘Ga- napathi Athravashirsha Upanishad’, he is the lord of ‘Muladhaar Chakra’ in our psy- chic body. It says:
‘Tvam Muladhara Sthitosi Nityam’
(Means ‘Lord Ganesha! You always dwell in ‘Muladhaar Chakra’ of our Psychic Body)
‘Muladhaar Chakra’ (Root Wheel) is very strategically located. It is an inter- face between material and spiritual lives. How? Muladhara represents ‘Earth El- ement’ of Vastu Shastra. So, it symboliz- es life on Earth and material prosperity. The spiritual awakening starts from this ‘chakra’. Lord Ganesha is the Lord of ‘Muladhaar Chakra’. In other words, he rules our material life on the Earth. He is also the gatekeeper at ‘Muladhaar’, the first ‘chakra’ where our spiritual evolution

starts by awakening ‘Kundalini’. So, inter- estingly, if we want to go for spiritual life, we need Ganesha’s Grace.
In summary, Lord ‘Ganesha’ is all pow- erful and if we pray him, he will definitely bestow us with both material prosperity and spiritual liberation.
‘Ganapati’/ ’Lord Ganesha’ is consid- ered the God of Happiness, Joy and Pros- perity. ‘Ganapati’ idol is considered as the ‘Protector’ and that is the reason we always worship him before starting some- thing new in our life.
Most of us usually keep ‘Ganesha’ idols at home without knowing exactly where and how to place it. To remove all obstacles from your life and attract wealth and good health, one should follow cer- tain simple Vastu rules, as follows:
While bringing ‘Ganesha’ idol check the direction of the trunk: As per Vastu, ideally, the trunk of the sitting ‘Ganesha’ should be tilted towards his left to right which symbolizes happiness and success.
As we are aware that the mouse is the ‘vehicle’ of mighty Lord ‘Ganesha’ and ‘modak’ is supposed to be his favorite sweet. Therefore, while buying the idol for your home, make sure that the tiny mouse and the ‘modak’ must always a part of it.
According to Vastu West, North and North-East directions are considered ide- al to place the ‘Ganesha’ idol. At time of ‘Ganapati’ celebrations, keep the idol fac- ing the North direction, since this is where Lord ‘Shiva’ resides and it is considered very auspicious.
Never keep ‘Ganesha’ idol in bed- room, garage, laundry room, underneath staircases or restroom/ bathroom. The energies under staircases, restrooms and laundry rooms are not favorable to keep your ‘Ganesha’ idol.
As per Vastu sitting ‘Ganesha’ rep- resents a calm and composed demeanor and encourages a peaceful environment at home. The reclining ‘Ganesha’ symbolizes luxury, comfort and wealth. If you desire those in life, then you should get a ‘Gana- pati’ in the reclining pose.
People seeking happiness, peace and prosperity in life should consider placing an idol of a white ‘Ganesha’ at home. Sim- ilarly, those who desire self-growth should bring home a vermilion colored ‘Gane- sha’. This is considered auspicious accord- ing to Vastu.
Vastu tip of the Week:
While celebrating ‘ganesh chaturthi’, remember that lord ganesha’s big head symbolizes soul and Wisdom, understanding, and a discriminating intellect that one must possess to attain perfection in life. keep the ‘ganesha’ idol preferably in the ‘ishaan kon’ of the house, that is the noRth-east direction but neVeR in the southern direction, as per the Vastu shastra principles.
