Auspiciously however, on the same day a Gazette was released relaxing import
restrictions to allow suspended vehicle spare parts to be imported on 180-day
credit terms.
Mr. Amerasinghe concluded his address by saying “now is not the time to ‘hope
for the best’, or to ‘wait and see what happens’. Now is the time for us to firmly
believe that we can find a solution, and act on that conviction with passion and
determination until we achieve what we set out to do.”
Finally, he requested the support of the members to assist him to perform his
duties to th very best in these uncertain times of the motor trade.
6. Election of Members to the Executive Committee
The Chairman then requested Mr. Rohan Casiechetty to announce the members
who would serve in the Executive Committee of the Association for the year
2020/21.
