• Sloths live in rainforest trees. They move very
slowly and hang underneath branches, hooked
on by their long curved claws. Whilst sloths are
well-known for being very slow, they are also
great swimmers.
• There are some plants in the rainforest that
don't need soil to grow! They can survive on
just the humidity and the heavy rainfall - they
are called epiphytes or 'air plants'.
• Lots of materials and food that we use and eat
every day come from the rainforest, such as
coffee, chocolate, rubber, oil and colour dyes.
