Brief details of the aim, content and outcomes of the

activity

Aim: “A large proportion of Diabetes and its complications can be
prevented by healthy diet, regular physical activity and maintaining a

normal body weight”. The real aim of the project is to create this
awareness among young minds and avoid the epidemic spread of

Diabetes in India.

Content: After the general orientation on Diabetes, more than 400
students were involved in collecting information about diabetes, visiting

Diabetic Clinics and interacting with Diabetologist. First-hand
information was gathered by interacting with diabetic patients and

preparing case studies. The prevalence of Diabetes in Countries like USA,
UK, Japan and China were compared with that of India. Recent

development and Research in Diabetes were surveyed and analyzed.

Outcome of the activity: Students will be able to

 Gain knowledge on diabetes basics (Biology)
 Be more health conscious (Yoga & Exercise)

 Learn about alternative medicines available in India and other

countries (USA, UK, Japan & China) for Diabetes
 Prepare Analytical Survey Report (Maths) and present the same with
clarity (Communication skills and Technical skills)

 Poster making to create awareness on Diabetes (Artistic skill)
