The Highlights of my career

I worked at kinmen Agriculture Experimentation for 15 years (1961-1976), It was the

hard times for me, especially, under the heavy bombardment attacked by the communist
Army; both of my body and mind will shrilled with terror. But it was the hayday of kinmen
agriculture; during that time I took charge of the station. The original works including
agricultural experiment and promotes, in addition to the livestocks product assistance for

farmers, the pigs artificial insemination & new varieties introductions etc. A new station
of fishery was established in Hsia-Shu Area in 1978, to promote the water foul and coastal
fisheries, such as oysters, lavers and fresh-water fishes. Now, the station in Hou-Lung was
established in 1963, I spent two years to design & plan, the total area was 1l times than the

original station in Kincheng. It was a totally barren and full of wild grasses. And far from
villages, I stayed there with one of my colleagues at a single cottage for 2 years, there were
no electric power & no water supply. In front of the Kincheng Junior high school, there was
a tidal land, and refilled by the soil of the tomb's yields, it was a large area too, I spent more

than two years to improve the cultivated conditions, such as refilled the fertilized soil, water
system & manure crops cultivated, to improve the soil fertilization and irrigation system.
In front of the Tai-Hu Dam. There was a depositon area, I asked the PE factory supplied
us the PE sheets to make a demonstration for them, and the soldiers helped us to move the

sand away, then put the PE sheets under the level of surface about 50cm, then refilled the
soil again. Both of these areas were good for breeding vegetables and upland crops. Because
they were far from the farmers' fields. It may keep from the spread of pollinations from other
varieties.

There was a deep muddy area in the east Kin-Cheng, it was idled for a lot of times, I spent
two years to improve the drainage system & refilled the sand and green manure to improve
the cultivated condition for aromatic rice . We planted two seasons every year and sent them
to Taipei for the late President Chiang. It' s the honor of us. But now all of these areas, were

released for other uses. Now the government of kinmen. Don't care about agriculture again
