Chen, Wen-Bin
Mr. Chen’s awards are as follows: Shortlisted at the 5th Japan
Asia Crafts Exhibition ceramic category in 2000, the 2001
Geongju International Craft Exhibition in Korea, 2002 Ishikawa
International Urushi Exhibition in Japan, and First Prize (Da Dun
Awards) at the 9th Da Dun Fine Arts Exhibition of Taichung City
in 2004. He participated in the 19th Art Inheritance Taichung
County Artist’s Relay Exhibition in 2007. He has been an on-
campus artist at the National Taiwan University of Arts, and
a pottery and engraving teacher at the National Taiwan Craft
Research and Development Institute and National Yilan
Traditional Art Association. He is an artist-in-residence and
instructor at the Fengyuan Lacquer Studio in Taichung City.
He is an adjunct lecturer at Overseas Chinese University, and
was invited to be a member of the judging panel for the 2019
Selection and Commendations for Lu-Ban Award of Taichung
City and the 2020 Miaoli Pottery Taiwan Wood-Firing Art Festival
of Miaoli County. He was named the 3rd Taichung Craftsman.
