Thomas McHugh (5)
Thomas Bernard McHugh is the grandson of Bernard McHugh who
served in the Department for most of his working life until he
retired in 1993. He is the son of Nicole McHugh who has been in
the Department since 2000 and has worked both at home and in a
number of interesting posts in Africa. At the moment Thomas is on
his first posting abroad with his Mum to Kampala, Uganda. It’s an
exciting place for a 5-year-old and Thomas especially loves the
different plant and animal life around him and the fun of going to a
school where there are 45 different nationalities! He shares his
parents’ and grandparents’ sense of adventure and learning new
things.
