Another Top Workplace award
MIL is proud to announce that we earned the 2021 Top Workplaces USA award! This award is
issued by Energage , a purpose-driven organization that develops solutions to build and brand
Top Workplaces. Although MIL has received multiple Top Workplace Awards for the Washington,
D.C. and South Carolina markets, 2021 is the inaugural year for its nationwide program and we are
excited to be in the first cohort of awardees!
We are so pleased that many of you took the time to respond to this year’s survey, as these types
of recognitions help us attract the best and brightest to add to our ranks of amazing professionals!
More importantly, it provides us with vital feedback that helps us make strategic decisions to
strengthen our firm in areas such as benefits, training, communication, and collaboration. It is our
goal to provide you with stability during these uncertain times, showing that amidst the chaos,
we offer a respite for our employee family in the form of job security, professional growth, and
workplace flexibility. It is extremely rewarding to see that our efforts are resonating.
Top Workplaces USA offers national recognition for large organizations, those with more than 150
employees, and those that have operations in multiple markets. Several thousand organizations
from across the country were invited, and more than 1,100 participated in the Top Workplaces USA
survey. Winners of the Top Workplaces USA list are chosen based solely on employee feedback
gathered through an employee engagement survey, issued by Energage.
Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and willingness to share your experiences so we may
continue to grow as an organization!
A more modern MILTRANET
As we all know, MILTRANET is where MIL employees go to get the lowdown—
to learn the latest news, find the most current forms, and access everything you
need to work at MIL. It’s where you go to get your benefits information, read
fresh blog entries, keep up to date on corporate policies and IT security risks, and
explore a myriad of other MIL-centric topics. It’s where to stay in-the-loop and
get the scoop!
If you’ve visited MILTRANET before, be prepared to see not just a touch up here
and there, but a whole new look and feel. As recent events have pushed many
MIL staff to remote and disperse locations, effective communication is even more
essential to keeping teams cohesive and moving in the same direction. So, having
a place where all MIL employees can go to get help, stay informed, and keep
connected is a top priority.
What’s new you ask? Beyond the fresh new face, MILTRANET now sports easy
to find resources to help employees locate needed corporate resources faster and
with less frustration. For example, HR’s new MILTRANET page offers a wealth
of information on employee rights and responsibilities, links to MIL’s latest
Employee Handbook, training resources, and much, much more. And all just a click away.
Along with the snazzy new design, MILTRANET has undergone a reorganization and reimagining to make navigating to what you
need simpler with more intuitive placement of data, documents, and links to both internal and external sources.
Beyond the front page, you’ll find pages devoted to the MIL Service Center Directory; corporate and federal guidance on COVID-19;
IT support resources; accounting; HR & recruiting; contracts; procurement; security; and an MIL “Events Album” where you and your
fellow staffers can share photos of corporate functions to capture the corporate culture and community of MIL.
In addition to making it easier to navigate to where you need to go, MILTRANET also provides you with a way to contact the person
you need to reach for each vital corporate function. This will help get your questions answered quicker and put MIL Corporate Service
Center assistance just a click away.
