Join MIL in supporting veterans at the
Out of The Darkness Suicide Awareness Campaign
MIL is proud to join the fight against veteran suicide by participating in the Out of the
Darkness Suicide Awareness campaign. Did you know that veterans face a significantly
higher risk of suicide? Currently, the suicide rate among veterans is approximately 1.5 times
higher than that of the general population—with nearly 17 of our heroes losing their final
battle each day.
Get Involved:
» Join Our Team: Walk with us and help raise awareness and funds to support suicide
prevention initiatives. Join our team and register today at MIL's Team Page.
» Walk Locally: MIL employees across all regions are invited to participate in walks
sponsored in their area. Visit The MIL Bridge, our Veterans Employee Resource Group
page, to find more information about walks in your region: The MIL Bridge - Veterans
Employee Resource Group.
» MIL Sponsorship: MIL will be making a sponsorship donation of $500 to the cause on
behalf of all our employees, many of whom are veterans themselves.
Why Join?
By participating, you are supporting critical initiatives that provide resources and support to
military veterans in need. Together, we can make a difference and show our commitment to

MIL wins Top Workplaces DC-Metro!
We are extremely excited to announce that MIL has been named a 2024 Top Workplace by The Washington Post for the Greater
D.C. area, ranking 12th in the large company category! This is our 8th consecutive year receiving this honor. We're thrilled
to also earn five Culture Awards in Leadership, Innovation, Compensation and Benefits, Purpose and Values, and Work Life
Flexibility.
A big thank you to our amazing team whose feedback made this award possible! Your input is
used for more than just winning awards - MIL has taken decisive actions to support you based
on recent survey data.
» Team members expressed an interest in more training and development, and in response,
we rolled out a companywide mentoring program, ramped up our IDP process by
implementing quarterly touchpoints, and expanded MILtranet to include online boot-
camps and leader-camp trainings to help you better prepare for certification tests.
» In response to supervisors seeking added support, MIL will continue supervisor training
and has also built out MILtranet pages with resources and tools specifically for managers.
» And, to further our culture of inclusion, we created MIL BRIDGE, an employee resource
group for veterans.
You want to work for a company that makes a difference. Together, we’re committed to fostering a supportive, growth-oriented
environment. Here's to many more years of success!
