MIL selected as “Best Value” by Library of Congress

We are pleased to announce that MIL has once again been awarded the Library of Congress
LBFMS IDIQ contract. LBFMS—the Library’s Legislative Branch Financial Management
System contract —is a $55M multi-award contract to provide critical financial systems support
and financial services to the Library, the Architect of the Capitol, Congressional Budget
Office, Congressional Office of International Leadership, Government Accountability Office,
Medicare Payment Advisory Commission, Office of Congressional Workplace Rights, and the
U.S. Capitol Police. This award marks MIL’s second consecutive competitive award to provide
financial services to the Library and other Legislative Branch agencies. Along with the base
contract award, MIL was also awarded two initial task orders. We successfully defended our
work on a task to provide independent verification and validation (IV&V) support and we were
also awarded a new financial systems documentation task. MIL’s latest LBFMS awards position
us to provide the Library’s Office of the Chief Financial Officer with many more years of
superior service and to expand our support elsewhere in the Legislative Branch.
Congratulations and cheers to everyone who helped prepare an outstanding and winning
recompete proposal! Special thanks to the leadership of capture team managers Bruce Corfield
and Karen McGee who spearheaded the effort, our Proposals and Contracts team, as well
as key contributors Sonya Holland, Bonita Jones, Tina Simanivanh, and Glen Schneider for
their invaluable insight and input. And, last but not least, thank you to the hard-working
team members on the current LBFMS contract whose outstanding day-to-day performance
positioned us well to earn a spot on the next contract.

        Winning JETS 2.0

MIL is pleased to announce the award of a multiple award contract (MAC) from the Defense
Logistics Agency (DLA) to the New River/MIL team and also to the Technatomy /MIL
team. JETS 2.0 (J6 Enterprise Technology Services) is a 10-year IDIQ contract to provide
IT services that will support DLA and other U.S. Department of Defense components. In
total, 85 companies were selected from a bid pool 259 offers. Worth $12B, the JETS 2.0
contract is a follow-on effort to provide the Department contractor support to infrastructure,
applications, hardware and software, as well as R&D projects across the DLA Information
        Operations enterprise.

Chatting with Paul Marshall, the new head of AGA’s DC Chapter

MIL is proud to be the home of the AGA’s next Washington DC Chapter President, Mr. Paul
Marshall, who will drive AGA’s DC contingent into FY 2025—the association’s 75th “Diamond”
anniversary. As a MIL VP, Paul oversees much of the company’s federal financial services
practice and contributes widely to corporate business development. Over the last several
years, Paul has served as a key liaison between MIL and AGA and is a past recipient of AGA’s
President’s Award. Paul’s 20 years of industry experience and expertise in leading teams in
accounting practices, financial reporting, enterprise risk management, data analytics, and
business and financial systems development made him a key acquisition for both MIL and
AGA. Paul’s industry advocacy includes hosting a successful AGA podcast, “Accountability
Talks” as well as “Risk Chats,” which he recorded for the Association for Federal Enterprise
Risk Management. Both series delivered timely insights from government thought leaders that
encouraged listeners to take part in the government financial management community.
So what’s Paul planning to write in AGA’s next chapter? Read on for a preview of things to come.
