        Keeping your coverage up-to-date


        Important events in your family life can affect your health plan
        coverage. These events qualify you to add or change coverage for
        you, your spouse or dependents. But you only have 30 days from       Update Your Coverage

        Failure to notify HR within 30 days of a qualifying event will result in loss of eligibility to make applicable insurance election changes as
        well as loss of eligibility for continuation of applicable insurance coverages under federal COBRA law and/or plan guidelines. In these
        instances, the employee must then wait until the next annual open enrollment period (which occurs every fall) to make insurance election
        changes.
