Moodle Training Programme
MSU is planning to implement University
wide Moodle Site for its 1800+ faculty members
and 42000+ students from next academic year
to strengthen its Teaching Learning Process.
Due to lockdown many onsite works cannot be
carried out. To utilize this time effectively, MSU
organized training on Moodle for its faculty
members using Video Conferencing Tool.
The responsibility of providing this
training is entrusted to the Department of
Computer Science and Engineering and
Computer Center of University. The Committee
is formed for the same comprising the members
Prof Apurva Shah,Head, Dept of CSE & Director,
Computer Centre, Prof. Kamlesh Vaishnav,
Professor, Dept of CSE, Dr. Viral Kapadia,
Associate Professor, Dept of CSE and Deputy
Director, Computer Centre, Mr. Prashant
Chauhan, Temp. Assistant Professor, Dept of
CSE, Ms. Bela Shah, Temp. Assistant Professor,
Dept of CSE.
All 111 Departments of the University are
divided in two groups training has been given
separately to both the groups. There are 6
workshop/seminar/Sessions planned under
this training program: Two for Department Level
EVENTS
Administrator for Moodle (who will set the
master data for respective department), Two for
Teachers' Facilitators (who will train the
teachers of the respective department), and two
for the students' Facilitators (who will train the
students of the respective department).
First session for both batches has been
conducted on 3.4.2020 and 6.4.2020 and 161
teachers from all 111 departments have
participated in the same.
The Session was briefed by Dr. Apurva
Shah, Director, Computer Center, and blessed
by the Dr. Parimal Vyas, Hon. Vice Chancellor.
The following topics were covered briefly by
Prof Kamlesh Vaishnav in his Session.
Ÿ Importance of Moodle in Strengthening the
existing Teaching-Learning Process.
Ÿ Planning for the Moodle Implementation by
each Department.
Ÿ Basic Tasks needs to be performed by the
Department Administrator to set up the
Master Data.

Webinar on POSCO Act by Faculty of Law
Under The Rakshin Project, Sakshi
Organisation New Delhi organized a webinar on
the POCSO Act, 2012 in furtherance of The
Ministry of Youth Affairs for the students of
Faculty of Law, on 15th April 2020 from 11.00 am
to 1.20 pm. The objective of the Webinar was not
only to deliver capacity building workshops to
strengthen Youth as powerful enablers for
creating a Constitutional Rights Based Enabled
Environment in the context of Gender Equality
International Shakespeare Festival 2020
Under the guidance of Prof. Pramod Chauhan of
Faculty of Performing Arts 10 students by name
with a focus on building
awareness about POCSO 2012
but also to make students
“Rakshin” who is a preventer of
Child Sexual Abuse who has
been skill-built and has access
to information, resources, and
tools. The session began with
t h e p r e a m b l e o f t h e
Constitution having a special
focus on the principle of
equality. Various concepts on
Child Sexual Abuse and the
mechanism to deal with Child
Sexual Abuse were explained
with the help of lectures and videos. Later,
Advocate Naina Kapur, Equality Law Activist,
and a Supreme Court Lawyer addressed the
questions raised by students. The webinar got a
great response as it had 100 participants, the
maximum offered by Zoom .Mr. Swarnim Sen
from Sakshi mentioned that this webinar is the
FIRST amongst all their Webinars to have 100
participants.
Nikita Porwal, Mallika Lokhande, Vedisha
Lobiyal, Hetvi Shah, Simant Rana, Vipul Barot,
Shailesh Patel, Rishikesh Karanjgaokar all
belonging to Faculty of Performing Art both
Alumni and Current students performed
Shakespeare's Sonnet - 146: " Poor Soul, The
Centre of My Sinful Earth also the philosophy of
Bhagawat Geeta's Adhyaya - 2 which is nothing
but the Dialogue between Lord Krishna and
Arjun. Also the act included Song, Dance and
Painting. It was directed by Professor Pramod
Chauhan online and students took the video of
their roles which was then carefully edited
within a span of 12 days. This festival is
conducted every two years by National theatre
of Romania along with European Union Member
wherein 29 countries participate. This year due
to COVID-19 the same was conducted online
from 23rd April to 3rd May and 2 acts from India
went, one was from South and the other from
Gujarat.
