Online training being imparted of Moodle (an
online learning system developed by MSU)
management system for MSU staff members:
This new system of online training might be
implemented after the lockdown opens up in
which 1800 faculty members and 42000 students
will become part of it in new academic year. In
this 111 departments are divided into 2 groups for
sessions and in each session 2 or 3 teachers
from each department are trained so that they
can give training further to other teachers of
their department. This training is done so that in
future the students can be provided with online
material. Professors were trained to increase
the use of online education system.
Child guidance clinic of MSU will provide
guidance online informing about various
activities for the children during the quarantine:
The child guidance clinic of Social Work Faculty
has started an online guidance centre, it stays
open from 1 PM to 5 PM. This clinic also works on
the behavioural side of children such as difficulty
in studying, speaking and extremely violent
behaviour of children.
An online essay writing competition on “Social
Work: Epitome of Humanity” was organized by
NSS and Faculty of Technology and Engineering:
The students of Faculty of Technology and
Engineering along with National Service
Scheme organised the online essay competition
in which the students registered themselves on
NSS website and the word limit was 300 words in
which the participants had to submit the essay
online before 13th April,2020 and the winner
would receive certificate and prize too.

Pharmacy Faculty of MSU proactive in finding the
medicine for coronavirus:
The former Dean of Pharmacy Faculty and Prof.
M. R. Yadav and Prof. Prashant Marumkar are
using computer based model for the same. The
research is still at primary stage and they are
working on the crystal structure of the virus
along with hydrocloroquin compound. the
compound with most proper reliability will be
sent for further tests.

preparing themselves for taking online exams if
the lockdown continues and Hon. VC sir Prof.
Parimal Vyas is also actively engaged in learning
process as the students and other members of
university. They are attending webinars and
lectures online.
MSU welcomed views of common people across
Vadodara on the future prospects of online
education via MSU connects’ website:
For the first time in university the viva of PhD
students was taken online. The university
authorities held a meeting with the examination
department and after that the PhD students gave
their viva online in the presence of expert.
Biochemistry Department of MSU at the aid of
Government for a corona testing facility centre if
needed:
The Department of Biochemistry called Dr.
Sarita Gupta to enquire about whether the
Department of Biochemistry of M.S.U. can be
used for corona testing. The department showed
positive response in helping the government.
