     CLIL FOR OVERSEAS PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS - ALL YEAR ROUND

     50 HOURS BLENDED LEARNING OPTION / 30 HOURS FACE-TO-FACE OPTION


     COURSE DESCRIPTION
       Blended Learning Option
       This six-week course is ideal for primary school teachers who are required to teach
       their curriculum subjects in English. It includes a four week online and a two week
       face-to-face element. The candidates must have a minimum of CEFR B1 to join the
       course. Minimum group size of 6.
       The course is designed to improve the candidates’ English language level before
       attending face-to-face lessons at the school. It focuses on grammar and vocabulary,
       as well as the four skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing), and is designed
       to improve the candidates’ level of English to CEFR B1+. The 4 week online course
       takes 20 hours, although it could be longer if any sections need to be repeated.

       Face-to-Face Option
       The face to face course is taken over two weeks, Monday to Friday, at Glasgow
       School of English, and is a total of 30 hours. It is designed for primary school
       teachers whose first language is not English, and will look at the classroom
       language needed by the teacher, how to identify key vocabulary items, how to plan   ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
