Secretary Dureza and Secretary Andanar Hold Meetings in New York

Presidential Communications Operations Office Head Secretary Martin Andanar and Presidential Adviser on the
Peace Process Secretary Jesus Dureza were in New York on brief visits to hold meetings with various officials and groups,
interface with media, and attend the launch of a new Filipino publication.

Secretary Andanar made a working trip to New York after attending the inauguration of President Donald J. Trump
with National Security Adviser Secretary Hermogenes Esperon in Washington, D.C. late last January 2017.

Senator Alan Peter Cayetano held a town hall meeting with members of the Fil-am Community in New York at the
Kalayaan Hall of the Philippine Center. The event was organized by the Philippine Consulate General in New York las 08
February 2017.

Senator Cayetano, who is the chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, engaged the audience on
various topics like the war on drugs, alleged cases of extra-judicial killings, bilateral relations of the Philippines with the US,
China, and ASEAN countries. He also discussed recent developments in the Philippines since the term of President Rodrigo
Roa Duterte started.

Before the townhall meeting, Senator Cayetano met with members of the Fil-Am media. Senator Cayetano was in the
United States to attend the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington D.C., which was highlighted by an address by President
Donald Trump. In New York, the Senator also met with think-tanks and businesspeople to promote the Philippines.
