The Philippine Consulate General in NY Welcomes Team Epik Studios
The Philippine Consulate General in New York
(PCGNY) welcomed to New York the all-Pinoy team
behind Epik Studios, a modern mixed-media creative hub
promoting Filipino arts and culture. Paul Basinillo, the
Chief Creative Officer, and artists Dennis Crisostomo and
Jim Jimenez, paid a courtesy call on Consul General
Claro Cristobal on 03 October 2018 at the Philippine
Center. During the visit, “Team Epik” presented the
Consul General with some of its best-selling titles, like
Republika, Bernardo Carpio, and Osyana.
On 05 October 2018, Vice Consul Tanya Ramiro
attended the New York Comic Convention, one of the
largest pop culture events in the world, at Jacob J. Javits
Center. She visited the booth of Epik Studios at the Artist
Alley, which showcased illustrations, comic books and
other works of art of Filipino folk heroes and other
supernatural creatures.
