Coordinator immediately.
Your Coordinator will check the service
details and contact the customer (or
their Case Manager, carer or other
nominated person) for directions as
to how to respond to the particular
circumstances.
Do not leave the customer’s home
until you have been instructed to
do so. If the customer is not home
and access is available (such as via
keypad entry or a key in a lockbox),
you may only enter a customer’s
home with express permission from
the customer, their Case Manager,
carer or other nominated person, via
your Coordinator.
You may only carry out services
when the customer is present in the
home.
Privacy and Respect
Each person’s view on and sensitivity to
privacy is different. The way people feel
about privacy is based on many things
including personal circumstances,
culture, beliefs, past experiences and
sensitivity of the information.
Always remember you are a visitor
in a private home. Conduct yourself
in a professional manner and abide
by the Just Better Care Privacy and
Confidentiality procedures at all times.
You are not to discuss other customers
or their personal information with
any person, other than appropriate
personnel within Just Better Care
Australia or the franchise. If a
customer’s personal information may
have been compromised, report the
incident to your Coordinator.

Handling Money
At all times, you must be accountable
for any money (cash only) a customer
gives you to purchase goods or
services, or for use on an outing.
Follow the Handling Money procedure
and use the Cash Reconciliation form
to record all transactions.
Do not complete any form of banking
transactions or use a customer’s
banking EFTPOS or credit card.
