 Choosing a provider
02
Once you’ve been approved for a Home Care Package you can choose a service provider that meets your needs.
There are a number of ways you can find information on aged care providers:
Just Better Care is an approved provider of aged care services. As each of our offices is owned and operated locally it means we can assist you by talking through our services
in person at your own home. It’s individual service. Just for you.
My Aged Care
You can find out about other providers’ services in your local area through the service finder on the My Aged Care website, or by contacting My Aged Care directly.
Provider websites
If you have a shortlist of providers, you can visit their websites to find out more information about the types of services they offer.
Advocacy services
There are a number of advocacy services available that can provide independent advice and assist you to access aged care services.
Family and friends
People close to you may already receive home care services or know someone that does. They may be able to share their knowledge and experience of home care providers in your local area.
Changing provider
It’s important that you know you always have choice. If you are already in receipt of a Home Care Package, you are able to easily change provider if you wish. Your Home Care Package is portable and if you’re moving away from the area or wish to change, you can select a new provider that better fits your requirements.
Choosing Just Better Care
We will provide you with advice, options and clarity around aged care services, working closely with you to select the services that best reflect your lifestyle and what you value most. When you are assigned a Home Care Package you can inform My Aged Care that you would like to receive services through Just Better Care.
