Screening Checks
Maintaining Current Certifications and Records
Contractors engaged by Just Better Care are required to maintain currency of all relevant insurances
& certifications (including, but not limited to, police checks, NDIS worker screening checks, qualifications & relevant registrations (i.e. AHPRA where applicable).
If any insurances, compliance
checks and/or certifications are due
to expire, contractors must provide evidence of renewal and send updated documentation to Just Better Care. Failure to provide up to date evidence of compliance documents will result in cessation of services to Just Better Care customers. It is your responsibility to keep this documentation current and to provide copies to Just Better Care upon request.
Contractors are required to report any criminal convictions or charges that would be considered a disclosable court outcome and banning orders under the NDIS or Aged Care banning register.
Contractors are also required to report any changes in licences or insurances (including suspensions, cancellations, or insurance coverage policy changes).
Certificates & Qualifications
Contractors engaged in any form of direct care services, including personal care must provide Just Better Care with evidence of the following:
• Cert III or IV in Aged Care, Disability Support, Individual Support or Home and Community Care.
• Infection control & hand hygiene training (within last 12 months)
• Manual handling training (within last 12 months)
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module (if working directly with NDIS participants)
Screening and Clearance Checks
Contractors must provide evidence of: • Current satisfactory criminal
record check and/or NDIS worker screening clearance (or equivalent state based state based check ie. yellow card)
• Working with Children Check (or equivalent if working directly with children or young people)
• Current First Aid certificate (within last 3 years).
• CPR certificate (within last 12 months) if services involve delivery of direct care services i.e. personal care, domestic assistance, social support etc.
• Reference chesk upon request.
For any transport related services, contractors must evidence:
• An Australian Drivers Licence • Current Comprehensive Car
Insurance
• Current Car Registration
