Gianni’s story – Just Better Care Melbourne West
From a young age, Gianni always knew he wanted to work
in a rewarding role that would use his ability to connect with new people.
Having always had an
interest in healthcare, he went on to complete a bachelor’s double degree in Health Science and Economics, followed by a Masters of Occupational Therapy
(OT) Practice.
For the next 11 years, Gianni worked as an OT in both the community and inpatient sub-acute setting, before an opportunity came up to join the Just Better Care network as a Franchise Owner.
Fast forward three years
and today Gianni is the proud Franchise Owner of Just Better Care Melbourne West which he purchased in 2020.
Gianni says no matter the path each took to find themselves in the care sector, every staff member at Just Better Care brings something unique to the role they fill.
“As an OT in a private hospital,
I was involved in management functions which exposed me to quality and compliance activities. This continues to be very helpful
in assisting me to understand the many requirements in the in-home aged care and disability sectors.”
“I wanted to move into home care work because I feel strongly that clients should be able to be
supported while remaining in their own home. But it’s not just the clients who benefit. I also find it really rewarding to be able to help them achieve independence while ensuring I can help keep them safe,” Gianni says.
Stephanie’s story – Just Better Care Melbourne Bayside Stephanie says she always knew deep down she wanted to support people, so it was only a matter of time until she found the rewarding role best suited to her skills.
After studying for an arts degree, 28-year-old Stephanie worked in various industries including childcare, reception and footwear retail. However, these roles didn’t satisfy her true passion
