(5) 2011 January – 2011 July. Islamabad, Pakistan. WHO. Team Leader – Public Health Specialist
In charge of the Early Recovery team WHO – Islamabad, Pakistan. Team’s tasks were focused on planning for
health development in the wake of the devolution process from the MOH to the provinces and to the proper
implementation and use of the Health Information System. Activities entailed also several health plans’ evaluation,
policy revision oriented towards PHC, coordination with donors, NGOs, and Provincial Health Departments, training on
planning and health information system. After a three-month extension, I left this job at the expiration of the contract for
family reasons.
(6) 2008 August - 2010 April. Maputo. Health Alliance International (HAI), Mozambique. Team Leader, International
ONG working on AIDS; tuberculosis and malaria
Country Coordinator of HAI. HAI was the main recipient of PEPFAR funds for the central region of Mozambique. Main
Tasks: Promotion of HIV/AIDS related activities and strengthening the HNS managerial capacity. Management of TA at
the MOH in the areas of AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. HAI employed about 200 workers and managed a total annual
volume of +/- 22M US$.

(8) 2000 September – 2004 December. Italian Cooperation, Maputo. Public Health Specialist
In-charge of a project aimed at strengthening Human Resources Planning Capacities. Posted at the Human
Resources Directorate (HRD), MOH, Mozambique. Main tasks: HR policy & planning, coordination of external funds,
budgeting of training activities, planning of initial training and on-the-job training activities. Employed by the Italian
Cooperation.
