• Knowing geography helps put
current events in context and it help us

understand history. It shows us how
water cycles and ocean currents work.
It also allows you to understand the

place where you live. As you move into
year 8 you will investigate some of

these issues.

• However, for those of you that may
have struggled to keep up this summer

term, there are a few key tasks for you
do try so that you can start year 8

confident and ready to move
forward. These tasks will be based on

the
‘Tropical Rainforests’ and ‘Crime’ topic
s that we looked at this term.

• For the rest of you, there may be
one or two things to whet your
appetite, should you wish to have a

look.
