            Title I Schoolwide Diagnostic for ACIP


                    1. How was the comprehensive needs assessment conducted?
                  The CNA was conducted during Instructional Leadership Team (ILT) summer
                  planning in July 2020. The principal and faculty provided information that indicated
                  needs for the school; results from multiple assessments were reviewed, analyzed,
                  and used, such as Student Attendance Data, iReady Diagnostic Results, Scantron
                  2019, benchmark testing and other academic data. Feedback from parents/
                  guardian (via PTA representative, surveys and focus groups) and employee groups
                  was analyzed to identify areas of need and possible solutions for improvements.

                    2. What were the results of the comprehensive needs assessment?
                  The results of the comprehensive SWOT needs assessment included the following:
                  For K-2 Reading: Strengths: 82% of 2nd graders performed On Grade Level or Above
                  in Phonological Awareness; 54% of Kindergarteners, 59% of 1st Graders, and 58% of
                  2nd Graders performed On Grade Level or Above in High Frequency Words; 0% of
                  Kindergarteners and 1st Graders performed overall at Tier III (two or more grade
                  levels below). Weaknesses: 80% of Kindergartners are below grade level in
                  Phonological Awareness. (Tier II & III); 92% of 2nd graders and 74% of 1st graders
                  are below grade level in Vocabulary (Tier II & III); 97% of 2nd graders are below
                  grade level in Informational Text (Tier II & III); 34% of Kindergartners and 35% of 1st
                  graders performed overall at Tier I (On or Above Grade Level). In K-2 Math:
                  Strengths: 23% of Kindergarteners performed at Tier I “grade level or above” in
                  iReady Mathematics; 0% of Kindergarteners performed overall at Tier III (two or

                  more grade levels below); 26% of Kindergartners have strengths in Numbers &
                  Operations and Measurements & Data; 26% of 1st graders and 11% of 2nd graders
                  have strengths in Algebra & Algebraic Thinking. Weaknesses: 77% of
                  Kindergarteners performed “early on” or “one grade level below” in iReady
                  Mathematics. (Tier II); 91% of 1st Graders and 79% of 2nd Graders performed “early
                  on” or “one grade level below” in iReady Mathematics. (Tier II); 21% of 2nd Graders
                  performed “two or more grade levels below” in iReady Mathematics. (Tier III); 100%
                  of 2nd graders are below grade level in Measurement and Data. (Tier II & III). In 3-5
                  Reading: Strengths: 3rd , 4th , 5th Phonological Awareness (100% on grade level);
                  3rd , 4th , 5th High Frequency Words (95% on grade level); 5th – Phonics (97% on
                  grade level); Grades 3-5 overall strengths are in the areas of High Frequency Words
                  and Phonological Awareness. Weaknesses: 3rd , 4th Comprehension: Literature
                  (70% below grade level); 5th – Vocabulary (94% below grade level); Grades 3-5
                  overall weaknesses are in the area of Comprehension: Literature. This domain can
                  be integrated into other content areas to help increase mastery. (78% below grade
