Breaking the Curse of Poverty  David K. Owusu


               edification. Therefore, it calls upon every believer to be diligent in
               their assignment. The very essence of why God would in the first
               place trust us to manage the wealth of the nations is for the reason
               that we have proved ourselves good stewards of what God gave us
               in such that He will trust us with much greater wealth.


               The scripture puts it this way


                    “A  good  man  leaves  an  inheritance  to  his  children’s  children,
                  And the wealth of the sinner is stored up for [the hands of] the
                  righteous. Proverbs 13:22 [NIV]


               Faith and Works: Spiritual Balance
               Faith in the finished work of Jesus is what avails us the triumph
               over the very struggle and labour that brought the curse of poverty.


               As the King of Kings –Lord of Lords the Messiah hung on the
               cross the he redeemed us from the curse of the law through the
               affliction and the death he suffered on the cross. When he said
               ‘It is finished’ he permanently broke the curse of bareness, struggle,
               poverty and all other curses from our lives.


                  “A jug of sour wine was standing by. Someone put a sponge soaked
                  with the wine on a javelin and lifted it to His mouth. After He
                  took the wine, Jesus said, ‘It’s done…complete” bowing His head,
                  he offered up His spirit”. John 19:30 [MSG]


               The work of redeeming man to his initial state of blamelessness had
               been restored. The redemptive plan of God finalized in an amazing
