Walking In The Covenant Blessing
wisdom 1 Kings 10:14, 23 [AMP]
“And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;
because thou hast obeyed my voice” Genesis 22:18 [KJV]
This then is the classic opening of the covenant route of blessing.
This blessing was initially cut out for the Jewish people, but now this
line has been cut and we all stand to be blessed, Jews and Gentiles,
through the seed of Abraham which is Christ Jesus. The scriptures
put it aptly in the following manner.
“Now the promises (covenants, agreements) were decreed and
made to Abraham and his Seed (his offspring, his Heir]. He [God]
does not say, And to seeds (descendants, heirs), as if referring to
many persons, but, And to your seed (your Descendant, your Heir)
obviously referring to one individual, Who is [none other than]
Christ (the Messiah)” Galatians 3: 16 (AMPC)
“And if you belong to Christ [are in Him who is Abraham’s seed],
then you are Abraham’s offspring and spiritual] heirs according to
the promise” Galatians 3:29 (AMPC)
The new covenant thus paves way for you and me to lay hold of the
blessings as we are beneficiaries of the covenant. We are heirs unto
the promise of God. What then do we do to walk in the covenant
blessing? Walking in the covenant blessing is simple for the new
Testament believers. All we have to do is accept Jesus Christ as our
