The Naval Flag returned
                                  Resurrected
                             Rising from the sea
Of White pain and Black freedom

                      Deconstructed Reconstruction
                                   A KKK One
                            A Birth of Nation One
                                For Segregation

                                For White Pride
                            For Southern Heritage
                             Buried in state flags
                            South of the Dixie line

                         Flying on Capitol Grounds
                           South of North Carolina
                                  Hanging high
                                A recolored One

                                In an Art Space
                               South of Houston
For a Remembering of Cries of Color
And a Flag of Treason and Terror

                             And before this flag
                               There were many
                             Lost in a Committee

Lost on the road to defeat
Lost in the imagination of southern swamps
                                  Of flat Stars,
                                Of black Blues,

                                  Bloody Reds
                           And washed out Whites
