Safety Guidelines
Curbside Pickup Safety
Remember: Limited contact delivery is the key to employee and guest safety!
Action Plan – Team of Two: Both go to front door and review parking lot activity.
o If there is concern with suspicious behavior, do not exit. Call DM/ALPM to
explain your concern.
o If, after exiting, you identify suspicious behavior, immediately re-enter the
store and contact your DM/ALPM immediately for further direction.
Once both associates are comfortable, the Runner will exit while the other
watches the delivery. The store entry door will be locked during the delivery.
o Both associates will have a walkie on their person to report any concerns
after the Runner exits the building.
o The associate inside of the store will have the store phone available in the
event 911 needs to be contacted.
o The associate in the store will keep constant eye contact on the Runner
until they return to the store and the store entry is secured.
Be mindful and aware of traffic in the parking lot when delivering the guest their
order and stay on the curb or directly behind the vehicle. Avoid other traffic in
the parking lot.
Based on location, other retailers may be operating in the same business fashion,
so there may be multiple cars entering and exiting our lot at the same time.
If there is limited activity, it is recommended that the team completes a review of
the lot activity every 30 minutes to help identify any suspicious activity.
Store Sanitation
For the health and safety of our guests and associates, it is important to keep all high-
touch surfaces clean, including our IT equipment (e.g., walkies, MIAs, printers, iPads,
monitors, keyboards, mice, phones, etc). Please review the Electronic (IT) Equipment
Cleaning Guidelines available on the UltaNet under Operations > Process > Technology.
