Each dish has shallow rounded sides rising from a ring foot to a
six-lobed rim, bound with metal. The cavetto has six raised lines
dividing the six lobes. It is covered in the interior with a red lacquer
suffused with fine craquelure, the exterior with dark brown lacquer.
