Modelled in mirror image, each figure in typical Georgian dress,
kneeling and supporting a faceted baluster vase to one side, set on a
circular base with reticulated decorative borders.

AN UNUSUAL GILT-BRONZE GROUP OF TWO FIGURES
18th century
Possibly depicting figures from an opera or popular novel, cast as a
kneeling young scholar with cap, his right arm touching a standing
taller figure with long flowing robes, the left hand holding a fly-whisk, all
on a rocky base, sealed.
