           January 2007 (amber glazed pottery jar), are consistent
           with the dating of this lot.

           A BLACK-GLAZED RUSSET-SPLASHED TRIPOD
           INCENSE BURNER AND A BLACK-GLAZED JAR
           Tang Dynasty
           The jar of ovoid form, supported on a short tapered foot, rising
           to a wide, lipped mouth, covered with a lustrous black glaze
           falling unevenly above the foot revealing the buff stoneware,
           17.4cm (6 7/8in) high; together with a brown-glazed tripod   94
           incense burner, supported on three legs terminating in claws,
           the sides of the vessel round from a flat base, rise vertically,
           then curve at the shoulder to a short, waisted neck with a
           flared rim, covered with a finely crackled, chocolate-brown
           glaze, 17cm (6 3/4in) high. (2).
