A RARE PAINTED STUCCO HEAD OF A
LUOHAN
13th/15th century
Naturalistically modelled with serene face with gently
arching brow, above almond-shaped eyes wide
open and inset with black glass bead pupils, the
straight nose above the bud mouth partly open, all
between long pendulous ears, applied overall with
flesh-tone orange pigment, stand.
