‘FIGURAL’ SLEEVE VASE
SHUNZHI PERIOD (1644-1661)
The vase is decorated to the exterior with
a continuous scene depicting a scholar-
official reclining on a day bed, surrounded
by female attendants while observing two
dancers accompanied by musicians playing
various instruments.
