A RARE SMALL 'IMITATION-BRONZE' VASE, FANGHU
YONGZHENG IMPRESSED FOUR-CHARACTER SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)
The vessel is modelled in archaic bronze form, with the shoulder decorated with three
raised bands and two lug handles to the sides, supported on a short spreading foot and
applied overall with a mottled reddish-brown glaze with silvery purple splashes in
imitation of bronze.
