AND CELADON GLAZED VASE, MEIPING
Kangxi
Of elegant baluster form rising from a broad
shallow foot, waisted sides and a high
rounded shoulder to a narrow mouth with an
everted lip, decorated around the exterior in
underglaze blue and red, and celadon, with
two scholars on a rocky ledge beside a lake
with a man in a fishing boat, three birds fly
high above them, a small pavilion beside a
bridge and the roof another visible in the hills,
all amidst various trees.
