This combination of form and decoration
appears to be extremely rare. See a related
blue and white meiping vase, Kangxi, with
similar decoration, illustrated in Qing Shunzhi
Kangxi chao qinghua ci, Beijing, 2005,
pp.424-425, no.276.
The combination of underglaze blue and red
and celadon decoration is an innovation of
the Kangxi period and is more often found
on brushpots. See a brushpot with related
landscape in underglaze blue, copper-red
and celadon glaze, Kangxi, illustrated in
The Complete Collection of Treasures of the
Palace Museum: Small Refined Articles of the
Study, Shanghai, 2009, p.88, no.58.
Compare with a similar blue and white and
celadon and copper-red meiping vase,
Kangxi, which was sold at Bonhams London,
5 November 2020, lot 46.
