          ‘HARE’S-FUR’ CONICAL BOWL

                   SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY, 12TH-13TH CENTURY

              The bowl has faring sides rising to an everted rim and is
              covered with a rich brown glaze of iron-rust tone which is
              fnely streaked on the interior with greenish-black pooling to
              black in the center. The exterior is similarly streaked and pools
              to black in heavy drips above the unglazed foot ring.
