A LARGE PAIR OF LONGQUAN CELADON 明十六世紀 龍泉青釉獸耳銜環玉壺春瓶一對
BOTTLE VASES 玉壺春瓶造型,頸部兩側對稱飾以獸耳銜環,並於耳上部下方凸起弦紋
與腹部弦紋上下呼應,應系仿元明時期銅器造型而製。全器釉汁肥厚,
MING DYNASTY, 16TH CENTURY 顏色光潤,青翠欲滴,與台北故宮藏器相似,參見《碧綠:明代龍泉窯
青瓷》,台北,2009年,頁194-195,圖103,然體量較後者為大。
Each vase is sturdily potted with a pear-shaped body, decorated 另四川成都曾於明嘉靖丙寅年(1566)墓中亦出土同樣造型器物,參見
《龍泉窯青瓷》,台北,1998年,圖239。拍品成對傳世,極為難得。
with a single bow string, and raised on a low splayed ring foot.
The waisted neck is flanked by a pair of mythical beast-head
C-shaped handles, each suspending a circular ring. The glaze is of a
rich olive-green tone.

Compare with a smaller vase (18.9 cm.) of this shape and design in
the National Palace Museum, Taipei, illustrated in Green-Longquan
Celadon of the Ming Dynasty, Taipei, 2009, p. 195, no. 103, where the
author mentions a similar vase dating to 1566, excavated in Chengdu,
Sichuan Province.
