36 | Bonhams A grey and russet nephrite snuff bottle
1750-1880
Of upright rounded rectangular form with sharply sloping shoulders,
with a flat lip and oval foot rim, the interior well-hollowed, with mask
and ring handles to the sides, one face with a russet skin carved in
low relief with a fisherman and woodcutter beneath a pine, reversed
by a farmer and recumbent water buffalo beneath a willow, the stone
flecked with black inclusions.
