A LARGE JADE CEREMONIAL BLADE, ZHANG
NEOLITHIC PERIOD - SHANG DYNASTY
thinly carved with long curved sides tapering to squared
edges, with a drilled hole between a pair of protruding
flanges to either side of the tang, the polished stone of a
mottled dark-spinach green tone
Length 31.8 cm, 12½ in.
