A five-case lacquer inro
Edo period (1615-1868), 19th century
Bearing a kinji and mura-nashiji ground, lacquered with Empress
Jingu standing on a balcony with two attendants, surrounded by
ferns and rocks, the reverse with Tobosaku standing on a cloud,
holding a peach with a deer at his side, all in gold and colored
takamaki-e with details in hiramaki-e and e-nashiji, and highlights of
kirikane, the interior cases nashiji, signed Yoyusai saku
