The bodhisattva is shown seated in 'Royal Ease' with the right foot 明十五世紀 銅觀音坐像
supported on a lotus stem that projects from the front of the double-
lotus base. The hands are held in vitarkamudra with the left hand held 來源:

質感。胸前垂掛多組珠串式瓔珞，裝飾繁縟精美。腰間束帶上也有聯珠式
瓔珞裝飾。下身著長裙，衣紋流暢輕柔。手腕和足部飾有花形釧鐲。半跏趺
坐姿，左腿橫盤，右腿下垂，足踩蓮花。身下為雙層束腰式蓮花座，中間束
腰較深，豐厚飽滿的蓮瓣由雙層蓮葉承托，整齊排列，工藝精美。這尊觀音
體態優美，身型豐腴。身體表面裝飾因為年代久遠、自然磨損或者人為擦拭
導致原來的裝飾脫落，露出底銅後自然氧化而表面呈現黑色。《金剛經》
雲：「凡所有相，皆是虛妄，若見諸相非相，即見如來。」目前市場重鎏金
而輕「黑皮佛」的現象，說明了人們重表面而輕本質，這與修行和供奉的本
心是相悖的。
