ring rising above the encircling, flat disc.

A RUSSET JADE ‘FISH’ PENDANT
SHANG-WESTERN ZHOU DYNASTY (C. 1600 – 771 BC)
The flat pendant is carved in the form of a fish with rounded eyes
and fins rendered in short incised lines. The mouth is pierced with
a circular aperture for suspension.
