          A BLACK-GLAZED JIAN TEA BOWL

          SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY (1127-1279)
          The bowl is potted with deep sites are covered inside and out with a
          thick iridescent black glaze, stopping in an irregular line and pooling
          above the foot, exposing the blackish-brown body. The mouth rim is
          mounted with a metal band.

          A JIAN ‘HARE’S FUR’ TEA BOWL
          SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY (1127-1279)
          The deep rounded sides are covered inside and out with a thick,
          lustrous black glaze finely streaked with silvery-brown ‘hare’s fur’
          markings and pooling in a line above the foot to reveal the buff
          ware fired to a brown colour. The mouth rim is mounted with
          a metal band.
