Shanghai Museum, The Hague, 2011, pp.92-93, nos.61 and 62. See
also a pair of yellow-ground famille rose candlesticks, Jiaqing mark
and period, in the Palace Museum, Beijing, illustrated in The Official
Kiln Porcelain of the Chinese Qing Dynasty, Shanghai, 2003, p.374.
These porcelain counterparts are very similar in shape and decoration
to the present lot, including the bell-shaped foot, the drip pan with
straight flaring sides, and the placement of decorative motifs.
此對燭台可能原為佛教供器五供中的一部份。供器一般一組五件，包
括一只香爐、一對燭台及一對花觚，稱為「五供」，多用於佛教慶
典、宗教節日等祭祀活動。鈴有「大清嘉慶年製」款的掐絲琺瑯燭台
在傳世品中殊為少見，因此本器可能用於宮廷或由嘉慶帝下旨修建的
寺院中。
本器飾八吉祥和纏枝蓮紋，琺瑯色彩豐富，厚重華美，仍保留著乾隆
朝的遺風，類似的燭台也見於其他材料如漆器、瓷器等。上海博物館
藏一對乾隆帶款胭脂紅地粉彩燭台可資比較，見《Imperial Porcelain
from the Shanghai Museum》，海牙，2011年，頁92至93，編號61
及62；故宮博物院也藏一對嘉慶帶款黃地粉彩燭台，參閱《中國清代
官窯瓷器》，上海，2003年，頁374；以上例子從器形及紋飾構圖上
看，均與本器相似。
