A carved Chinese white jade ‘phoenix’ boulder
qianlong period
carved in the round with a phoenix flying amidst stylised cloud scrolls, on
the top a moon emerging from a ground cloud scrolls, the stone of a pale
celadon tone flecked with a russet skin, carved to retain the contours of the
original pebble, wood stand.
H: 2 1/2 in., 6.5cm; W: 3 1/2 in., 9cm
