A FLAMBÉ-GLAZED VASE, HU
JIAQING INCISED SIX-CHARACTER
SEALMARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1796-1820)
The vase is decorated with two open rectangular-
form handles to the neck and is moulded on
each side with a large peach-shaped panel. It
is covered in a vibrant purplish-red glaze with
bright turquoise and beige streaks thinning at the
extremities to reveal a crackle-glazed ground. The
base is covered in a café-au-lait glaze.
