AN IRON-RED-DECORATED ‘DRAGON’ DISH
KANGXI SIX-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE IN
UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1662-1722)
The dish is decorated to the centre with a fve-clawed dragon chasing the
faming pearl amongst fame scrolls. The panel is surrounded by two striding
dragons chasing the faming pearl, and the reverse is decorated with two
further dragons.
