A RARE DOUCAI OVOID FIGURAL VASE
18TH CENTURY
The vase is decorated to the exterior with a scene
of a scholar receiving a qin, with several attendants
looking on, all surrounded by a rocky landscape
with bamboo to one side. The base is painted with
an apocryphal Chenghua mark.
