A JIZHOU LEAF-DECORATED BOWL 宋 吉州窯黑釉葉紋碗

The conical bowl is decorated to the interior with the brownish-buf, gossamer
imprint of a large leaf against a dark-brown glaze that thins very slightly at the
rim. The glaze stops on the exterior just above the shallow ring foot, exposing
the buf body.

Acquired by the vendor’s family in Europe prior to 1975, then by descent within
the family.
